Hoy inauguramos una nueva sección en nuestro blog: «Songs, Rhymes and Games in English», en la que encontraréis las letras en inglés de muchas de las canciones, rimas y juegos que hacemos en clase; la mayor parte son letras de canciones folclóricas de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda.

Empezamos a trabajar con ellas en Infantil, y durante los cuatro primeros años de Primaria, retomamos ese material ya conocido para introducir la lectura y escritura musicales, así como para tomar conciencia de muchos elementos del lenguaje musical tales como el pulso, el ritmo y la altura.

El gran pedagogo húngaro Zoltan Kodály, insistía en enseñar la música folclórica  (patrimonio musical de cada pueblo) como base para llevar a cabo una buena iniciación musical: son canciones sencillas, repetitivas, y constituyen un material musical muy adecuado para los niños. Es importante trabajar con canciones muy sencillas que les permita afinar perfectamente, aunque luego veamos otro tipo de materiales.

El próximo miércoles día 10 Junio a las 18:30, en la facultad de medicina, tendrá lugar un concierto de diferentes orquestas de niños y jóvenes pertenecientes a la Escuela Arcos. Podremos apreciar la extraordinaria labor pedagógica que su director, Rubén Fernández, lleva a cabo tanto en su escuela como en diferentes colegios a través del conjunto orquestal.

En primero de primaria estamos viendo los animales, así que nada mejor que escuchar y disfrutar del Carnaval de los Animales de Saint-Saëns.  Aunque ya está en la sección de Audiciones, adjunto este vídeo con marionetas que escenifican las diferentes partes.

Adjuntamos algunas de las fotos que fuimos tomando en las tribunas del Auditorio Nacional durante el ensayo y la preparación del Gran Coro final de «Maese Kaos». Los chicos/as llevaban la camiseta con el logo diseñado por Miguel Cervigón (4ºB) , y estuvieron muy atentos a las indicaciones de los directores para saber en qué momento cantar, cuándo ponerse de pie, la postura que debían tener, etc.

FUE EL MOMENTO MÁS EMOTIVO DE LA ACTUACIÓN, en el que se emocionaron todas las familias que asistieron, así como los responsables y técnicos del Auditorio Nacional.

El pasado viernes 24 de abril asistimos a una representación de «La cantada vida y muerte del general Malbrú», de Jacinto Valledor, en el Auditorio de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Leganés). Esta actividad está dentro del Proyecto Pedagógico del Teatro de la Zarzuela, que pretende difundir la lírica entre los más jóvenes, y en especial la zarzuela. Os ofrecemos un vídeo en el que podréis ver la puesta en escena de esta excelente representación.
